Junxin Li works to promote the health and well-being of older adults, particularly by understanding how physical activity and sleep affect cognitive function.

Her research interests include the associations between daytime activities, sleep, and cognitive function; the biological mechanisms for these associations; the short- and long-term impacts of daytime napping on cognitive functions; and testing individually tailored interventions implementing mHealth technology to promote healthy aging.
