Annette C. Anderson is a professor in the School of Education and serves as deputy director for the new Center for Safe and Healthy Schools.

She is a native of Baltimore and a graduate of Baltimore City Public Schools, an experience that has left an indelible mark on her career interests in educational equity and adequacy. As a former principal and teacher, Anderson has become a leading expert during the pandemic on policies for determining how best to keep students safe and is available to discuss issues associated with the coronavirus and education.
