Wesley T. Fuhrman oversees the Lunar Surface Innovation Initiative (LSII) activities in support of NASA Space Tech, which include research, technology assessment, and operation of the Lunar Surface Innovation Consortium (LSIC). Fuhrman provides technical leadership in evaluating future mission needs, and he coordinates across technology domains to help achieve NASA's exploration architecture. He defines the strategy, goals, and objectives of the APL LSII effort in close coordination with the APL LSII Leadership Team and NASA Space Tech.

In addition to leading LSII, Fuhrman works across APL's Civil Space and National Security Space mission areas on projects related to lunar and cislunar topics, with special interest in space power systems.
