Steven Teles is political science professor and a senior fellow at the Niskanen Center, a nonprofit think tank in Washington, D.C. As author of the book, The Rise of the Conservative Legal Movement: The Battle for Control of the Law, Teles is a leading expert on current events around appointments of conservatives jurists to the U.S. Supreme Court and district courts. He is also author of Prison Break: Why Conservatives Turned Against Mass Incarceration. He is currently working on a book, under contract with Oxford University Press (with Rob Saldin) on Republican opponents of President Donald Trump.
