Minkah Makalani is an associate professor and director of the Center for Africana Studies. His expertise includes Black internationalism, Caribbean independence, Black Power, race and racial identity, and artistry.

Makalani is author of "In the Cause of Freedom: Radical Black Internationalism from Harlem to London, 1917-1939."
