Adam Seth Levine's research explores questions about how ordinary citizens become engaged in civic and political life, and how diverse people work together to address problems in their community.

Levine is studying the role of science in American life, and in particular when scientists collaborate with civic and political leaders to address public health, environmental, and other challenges.

He is the author of "American Insecurity: Why Our Economic Fears Lead to Political Inaction."
