Temperatures this weekend won't rise above 49 degrees and there is an expected low of 24 degrees late Friday night.

While the Hub recommends that you crank the heat and have Vitamin C on hand, we also encourage you to get out to one of the campus events below.


Ireland study abroad photo exhibition
Friday, 5:30–7:30 p.m. | Mattin Center
The Center for Visual Arts and the Office of Study Abroad are collaborating on this photography exhibition. Have friends who studied in County Clare last summer? Here's your chance to see through their eyes.

Baltimore Youth Film Arts exhibition and screening
Saturday, 5–8:30 p.m. | Hodson Hall
Enjoy films and photographs created by the fall fellows in the Baltimore Youth Film Arts Program, and speak to the rising artists about their work. There will be a light reception following film screenings.

30th Annual Culture Show
Saturday at 7 p.m. | Rec Center
This collaborative showcase will celebrate the artistic expression of the many cultures represented at JHU.

10th Annual SLAM Showcase and Benefit
Sunday at 2 p.m. | Rec Center
SLAM Hip Hop Dance Group will bring together JHU Eclectics and some of the best professional and college hip-hop dance teams in the DMV area to raise money in support of the Baltimore Dance Crews Project. You don't want to miss this one. Buy a ticket online.


Worship and Bible study

Agape Christian Fellowship will host a Bible Study and worship night. All are welcome.

Wash away the stress while making your own soap. All materials provided.

Magic show featuring Francis Menotti
Saturday at 7:30 p.m. | Glass Pavilion
Thanks to the Magical Arts Initiative at JHU, this well-known magician will put on a show as Magic Week comes to a close. Menotti performed at both of former President Barack Obama's inaugural balls.


FastForward U screens 'Generation Startup'
Friday at 5:30 p.m. | Hodson Hall
Generation Startup takes viewers to the front lines of entrepreneurship in America while capturing the struggles and triumphs of six recent college graduates who put everything on the line to build startups in Detroit. The critically-acclaimed documentary may inspire you to take a chance on an innovative idea.


Mental health workshop
Saturday at 1 p.m. | Hodson Hall
Just in time for final exams, the sisters of Delta Xi Phi will invite a representative from the Counseling Center to talk about healthy coping skills.

Interplay Retreat: Sitting, Walking, Playing
Sunday at 10 a.m. | Charles Commons
If you don't plan to spend Sunday morning sleeping in, consider attending this unique event hosted by the JHU Buddhist Students Association. The half-day, non-religious event will employ meditation, movement, storytelling, and music-making to unlock the body's wisdom.
