Even a pandemic couldn't thwart this quintessential Baltimore moment, a stoop crab feast snapped by photographer Caron Stewart last June. "I wanted to do the best I could to capture our reality during these unusual times," says Stewart, noting the addition of Clorox wipes and face masks to the summer pastime. The photograph won "Picturing Pandemic Baltimore," a contest and exhibit hosted by the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine's Program in Arts, Humanities, and Health. Judged by photojournalist J.M. Giordano, Stewart's photo and other submissions were displayed in late 2020 on an LED billboard near Baltimore's Penn Station.
