"We cater to all skill levels, from the seasoned vet to the first-timer. Our sailing trips are no different. We've had participants who have lived on sailboats and others who have never been on the water. Most folks like to relax and enjoy the ride, while others want to learn all things sailing.

"Before each trip, we discuss what people want. If they want to learn, we teach. If they want to relax, we relax. Our skippers are certified through the Downtown Sailing Center, our partners on the water. They can teach you knots, maneuvers, and even some tricks. Students, faculty, staff, and community members can sign up.

"Crews are usually awed by the view of the city from the water. It's a great way to experience Baltimore. We depart from the Downtown Sailing Center and sail toward the Key Bridge. Along the way, you get great views of the Inner Harbor, Harbor East, Fell's Point, Canton, and Fort McHenry.

"Our whitewater kayaking, sea kayaking, and climbing trips require some skills that we teach beforehand. But there's no prerequisite for sailing trips."
