One hundred Johns Hopkins faculty, staff, students, retirees, alumni, and their families and friends attended Hopkins Night at Ripken Stadium on Saturday, July 28, when the Aberdeen Iron Birds lost to the Vermont Lake Monsters, 7-2.
The home team scored two runs in the first inning and held the lead until the visitors tied the score during the sixth inning. Runs in the seventh and eighth innings secured a W for Vermont. Fans were treated to fireworks at the end of the game.
Hopkins Night at Ripken Stadium is one of several group-seating events planned each year for the Johns Hopkins community by the Office of Work, Life and Engagement.
