"Jerry Klickstein has devoted his career to helping musicians succeed," says Jeffrey Sharkey, director of the Peabody Institute. "As they look to find their way in a shifting musical landscape, our students will be fortunate to have Jerry as their coach."

A member of the Careers Outside the Academy Committee organized by the College Music Society, Klickstein collaborates with faculty at conservatories and music schools across the country to implement programs that equip musicians to thrive in today's economy. He has served on the board of directors of the American String Teachers Association and was a member of the National Task Force on the Arts in Education convened by the College Board.

Klickstein blogs on diverse topics of interest to musicians on MusiciansWay.com, the companion website to his book, published in 2009 by Oxford University Press. He also posts career-enhancing resources for students on the Peabody website at peabody.jhu.edu/52. This fall, he will host a series of workshops at Peabody in conjunction with the business of music minor launched last year within the bachelor of music program.
