Joshua Modell, Ph.D. is assistant professor of molecular biology and genetics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is known for his work on the widely used gene-cutting system CRISPR-Cas9. His laboratory uses an integrated approach, combining molecular biology, next-generation sequencing, functional genomics, biochemistry, bioinformatics, and time-lapse microscopy.
