Angela Watson is an assistant research professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Education and a senior research fellow at the Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy. She is the founder of the Johns Hopkins Homeschool Hub and currently serves as director of the Johns Hopkins Homeschool Research Lab. Her research focuses on the impacts of schooling — particularly homeschooling — on academic, cultural, and social-emotional outcomes with the goal of advancing evidence-driven local, state, and national education policy.

Watson's work has been published in prominent scholarly journals such as Education Researcher, the Journal of Human Resources, Politics and Policy, and the Journal of School Choice, and has been featured in major news outlets including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, Fox News, and Yahoo.
