A new virtual health program called Vida, which was announced during Annual Enrollment, is now available at no cost to you and family members over 18 if you are enrolled in a JHU CareFirst medical plan.
Vida is designed to support weight management and care for chronic conditions that include diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. The program focuses on sustainable, personalized changes that fit your lifestyle and health goals.

Whether you're looking to make small changes or manage a chronic condition, Vida offers personalized, judgment-free support to help you move forward at your own pace.
How to get started
You can download the Vida app from the Apple App Store or Google Play or access the program through the desktop site. Complete a brief questionnaire and once enrolled you'll be connected with a dedicated health coach and care team. You can meet one-on-one with your coach through video visits and communicate between sessions using secure messaging. Your care plan is tailored to you, considering your preferences, needs, and daily routines.
Vida can support you with goals such as:
- Building healthier eating habits
- Controlling your weight
- Managing diabetes or working to prevent it
- Improving blood pressure or cholesterol levels
- Reducing stress and supporting overall well-being
