Each year, University Experiential Learning recognizes outstanding contributions through the Student Employee and Supervisor of the Year awards and invites the JHU community to participate in the nomination and review process.
These student roles provide meaningful, hands-on experience that helps students grow personally and professionally. Supervisors play a crucial role in this development, offering mentorship, guidance, and support that can shape a student's confidence, skills, and future career path.
UEL is currently seeking reviewers to help evaluate the 2026 nomination submissions. If you are interested in serving as a reviewer, you are asked to sign up here. Reviewers should plan to spend two to three hours reading and scoring nomination letters during the week of March 9. Many reviewers have said that learning how student employment shapes individuals and prepares them for life beyond college has been a meaningful and inspiring experience for them .
Nominations for the 2026 Student Employee and Supervisor of the Year awards will open on Monday, Jan. 26.
