Looking for fun summer learning options for your child? Registration is open for the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth's summer day, residential, and online courses, and eligible full-time JHU employees can receive 50% off their child's tuition.
CTY's three-week day and residential programs will take place on school and college campuses across the U.S. that include Johns Hopkins University and the Gilman School in Baltimore and the Woods Academy in Bethesda, Maryland. Day courses are open to advanced learners in grades 2-8 and residential courses to students in grades 5-12. Other CTY summer locations include:
- Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania
- Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles
- Roger Williams University, Bristol, Rhode Island
- Saint Andrew's School, Boca Raton, Florida
- Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, New York
- Speyer School, New York
- UC Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz, California
- Ursinus College, Collegeville, Pennsylvania
Enrollment is also open for summer online courses in a variety of subjects for students in grades 2-12.
CTY courses go beyond traditional school offerings, giving students opportunities to delve into subjects they're passionate about and join a community of kids who love to learn. CTY designs programs specifically for advanced learners—students who thrive when challenged, move quickly through material, and love exploring ideas in depth. At CTY, students can:
- Take advanced courses they won't find in school, from STEM and humanities to writing, math, and beyond
- Work with instructors who are experienced in teaching curious, motivated students and who give detailed feedback on their work
- Explore their favorite subjects in a fun, supportive environment
- Build lasting friendships with peers who also love learning
You can learn more about the CTY experience by listening to participants in this video.
