The Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering is inviting high school students to apply for its Engineering Innovation Pre-College Programs, offering them a unique opportunity to experience college-level engineering courses and earn academic credit from one of the nation's leading research institutions.

Full-time university employees can use their tuition remission benefit to help pay for their eligible children's participation.

The program, available both on-campus and online, immerses students in hands-on projects that explore real-world engineering challenges. Participants will collaborate with peers from across the globe while gaining exposure to fields such as civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering.

The early action deadline is Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, and applications are now open at ei.jhu.edu.

Parents interested in learning more can attend an online information session, during which program staff, course designers, and alumni will share details about the curriculum, admissions process, and how students can earn college credit.

Qualifying employees can receive tuition remission to help pay

Dependent children of university employees might qualify for tuition coverage through the Johns Hopkins Tuition Remission Plan. Employees should submit the required Tuition Remission Form before payment.

Reach out to the Benefits Service Center at benefits@jhu.edu or 410-516-2000 with questions about eligibility for tuition remission.
