Millions of people provide care for older adults and people with chronic conditions and disabilities. You may be or know a caregiver who is helping another adult with daily living tasks. While caring for a loved one can be hugely rewarding, it also can be physically and emotionally draining. November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize family caregivers. Here are two upcoming JHU webinars offering support.

Care for the Caregiver, Wednesday, Nov. 19, noon to 1 p.m.

Join Johns Hopkins Employee Assistance Program vendor CCA and the university's Adult Caregiving Networking Group to recognize and honor the contributions of family caregivers.

The Care for the Caregiver webinar will explore how to balance caregiving with your own well-being, offering practical self-care strategies and guidance on assessing your family's needs. The group will discuss the emotional challenges faced by caregivers and the unique circumstances they may encounter, and it will share resources to help ensure that you care for yourself while caring for others. Register here.

Supporting the Sandwich Generation, Thursday, Dec. 11, 3 to 4 p.m.

Caregiving logistics and responsibilities can be a lot to manage, especially if you're caring for an older loved one and a child at the same time. Tune into the Supporting the Sandwich Generation webinar offered by JHU's caregiving benefits vendor, Bright Horizons, to learn where to find help and how to handle your emotions. Register here.
