Planning for retirement is about more than choosing a date; it's about charting your course toward a secure and fulfilling next chapter. This fall, Human Resources' Office of Benefits & Worklife is offering a series of live, expert-led webinars to help you plan your life after parting ways with JHU. With topics spanning health care, finances, housing, and lifelong learning, the Fall 2025 Pre-Retirement Program can give you the tools and confidence you need to plan your journey.

The Pre-Retirement Program is a virtual two-week series happening from Sept. 22 to Oct. 3. Week one focuses on midcareer planning, and week two centers on employees 55 and older or within five years of retirement. The sessions cover JHU retiree benefits, Medicare, financial planning, nonfinancial considerations, and more. Topics include:

  • Consideration of where to live in retirement
  • Opportunities for enrichment, growth, and learning
  • Health care coverage (JHU medical plans, Medicare, and marketplace options)
  • Financial planning, including principles of investing, retirement savings, and Social Security

The live webinars can be accessed with any computer, tablet, or mobile phone with internet connectivity. View the fall schedule and register here. If you're unable to attend, registering will allow you to watch the recordings after.

Attendees are encouraged to include a guest. If the two of you will watch the webinars using different devices, your guest should register separately using the same registration links.

If you have trouble with online registration, or have questions about the program and retiree benefits, call 410-516-2000 or email benefits@jhu.edu.
