What is the Trolley Tour?

Hosted by Live Baltimore, the Trolley Tour offers would-be buyers a chance to explore Baltimore City neighborhoods, meet local housing experts, and learn how to access thousands of dollars in homebuying incentives. This season's event takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Johns Hopkins at Eastern, and offers:

Exclusive financial assistance for Johns Hopkins employees

JHU and JHHS employees qualify for up to $17,000 in grants toward down payment and closing costs through the Johns Hopkins Live Near Your Work program. The grants are:

  • Available to full-time, benefits-eligible employees of the university and health system
  • Vary by neighborhood and must fall within designated boundaries
  • Require completion of a homebuying education course and counseling from an approved Baltimore City agency
