Johns Hopkins University has launched a new and improved online Internal Brand Store, giving faculty and staff streamlined access to bulk ordering high-quality JHU-branded merchandise. Whether you're ordering polos for your department, promotional giveaways for an outreach event, or gear to show your Hopkins pride, the new store is your one-stop shop.
Replacing the previous pilot store, the updated platform was created in collaboration with Brandor, a Maryland-based vendor selected for its high-quality service, flexible ordering options, and alignment with Hopkins' mission to support local businesses.
"This new store reflects our longstanding goal of making Hopkins-branded materials more accessible, more customizable, and more reflective of the full range of university departments," says Jill Axel, licensing specialist in the Office of University Communications. "We've expanded our divisional offerings and added easy-to-order spirit items, many of which are ready to ship immediately. The new brand store really takes the guesswork out of the ordering process."
The site is exclusively for internal use and requires a JHED ID for access. Certain items allow for departmental customization, such as adding a unit or department name under the Hopkins logo. In-stock spirit gear, along with items from current campaigns such as Research Saves Lives, can be ordered in bulk and shipped quickly, while made-to-order items and JHU 150th Anniversary merchandise have a two-week turnaround plus shipping time.
Abby Jackson, senior director of Creative and Brand Strategy in University Communications, says, "The new platform is a huge step forward for the Hopkins brand. "We're excited to support our internal community with a more robust resource that makes ordering merch easier and supports our shared commitment to come together as one university."
The store will also offer quarterly seasonal updates to its inventory, with new items such as knit hats and cold weather gear expected ahead of winter.
Faculty and staff can continue working with any of Hopkins' Collegiate Licensing Co. licensed vendors for custom orders, but the internal store provides a convenient, preapproved alternative, with competitive pricing and built-in brand alignment on fonts, colors, and design.
Brandor orders can be placed via credit card or invoice, and for unique needs not featured in the store, users can work directly with the company's design team to develop compliant custom items.
