With the current market, you may be thinking more about managing your finances today and your retirement savings for the future. Whether you are 10 years or 10 months away from retirement, protecting your retirement savings and investments, having enough money to last a lifetime, and planning for your health care needs are important considerations in preparing for your retirement from the university.

Pre-Retirement Planning Program

Staff and bargaining unit members of all ages are invited to attend the complimentary Pre-Retirement Program in June. To provide flexibility and maximize attendance, this event will be held virtually.

  • Let's Talk About Social Security and Medicare, Tuesday, June 3, at noon. Along with your retirement investment savings, Social Security benefits and the timing of your claims can significantly impact your retirement income forecast, so it's important to learn how to meet enrollment deadlines and maximize these benefits while preserving your savings.   • JHU Benefits in Retirement, Wednesday, June 4, at noon. Join the Office of Benefits & Worklife to learn about benefits for university retirees, including medical and dental coverage, life insurance, tuition grants, pension and 403(b) plans, vacation and sick time, and more. A Q&A will follow the presentation. Register in advance here.

Financial well-being resources and consultation
