In your busy schedule, when do you take time to care for yourself? Your well-being is essential to preventing burnout and enabling you to enjoy life at work and at home. To support faculty and staff in practicing self-care, the JHU Office of Benefits & Worklife is hosting a Day of Well-Being on three campuses. Take a break from your workday to participate in fun activities and focus on yourself.

When and where

Choose the day and location that suit you best and stay for as little or as long as you'd like. Registration is not required. The events will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Monday, April 7. East Baltimore, Turner Concourse
  • Tuesday, April 8. D.C., Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Center
  • Monday, April 14. Homewood, Glass Pavilion

Not working on one of those campuses? Consider using the Blue Jay Shuttle Service and TransLoc App, which provides real-time bus and shuttle tracking information. Visit the transportation website for details.

What to expect

A Day of Well-Being is a wellness fair full of activities and opportunities to learn about healthy habits and the JHU Well-Being Program. You'll have the opportunity to speak with experts in physical, mental and emotional, social, financial, and environmental well-being, including representatives from Burnalong, the Marsh McLennan Agency, the Johns Hopkins Employee Assistance Program (JHEAP), Well-Being, Sustainability, and more.

Self-paced activities include mindful coloring of a mandala, making your own heating pad, and working on a positive affirmation mural. Seminars and fitness classes will showcase well-being resources.

A cooking demonstration hosted by a registered dietitian will enable you to learn about the benefits of super foods and how to incorporate them in your daily diet. And you can have a seated massage and visit vendor tables to talk with resource experts one-on-one.

Check out the event schedule to plan your timing and ensure you can participate in your preferred activities.

To add the event to your calendar or to schedule your seated massage, open the Day of Well-Being flyer and click on the appropriate buttons. Spread the word and share with a colleague who could use some TLC.
