There are many stressors today that can affect you at work and at home, and the Johns Hopkins Employee Assistance Program can help you deal with them. Whatever support you need—whether it's to manage stress that comes from your work or from tasks that need attending at home, or for help navigating this period of substantial change—JHEAP is free, confidential, and available 24/7/365.

One-on-one emotional support

Through JHEAP, you and your household family members have free 24/7/365 access to confidential counseling and referrals for help with whatever matters are on your mind. Employees in the U.S. can reach JHEAP by calling 888-978-1262; international employees can access local support by visiting myccaonline.com with company code JHGlobal.

When you call JHEAP, a clinician will listen, provide support, and help you identify resources and next steps. If you need counseling services, JHEAP will provide referrals to licensed clinicians in your area, or you can opt for an appointment with a member of JHEAP's on-site clinical team, located on several Johns Hopkins campuses.

JHEAP offers up to six free counseling sessions for short-term needs per issue, per year, to help you with life's challenges.

Daily life assistance

Struggling to find balance? JHEAP can lighten your load. You and your household family members can get help with everyday work-life needs by requesting referrals for child care, elder care, pet care, parenting issues—even help for your home, such as finding a plumber to fix a leaky sink or writing an agreement with a contractor.

In addition, JHEAP offers phone and in-person legal services; financial services, such as help with budgeting, managing debt, and tax preparation; and identity theft resolution and consultation.

Leadership support

JHEAP can assist supervisors and leaders in supporting their teams by providing promotional resources, group support sessions, training, and more. Supervisors can request a consultation with a clinician on how to best support their teams, or for one-on-one support, by emailing eap@jhu.edu or calling 888-978-1262.
