At least one in three adults in the U.S. will develop cancer in their lifetime, which means that many may face a cancer diagnosis of their own or may care for a loved one with cancer while continuing to work. If you're one of those affected, Johns Hopkins has a program to help. Work Stride: Cancer Prevention, Navigation, and Support is available free of charge as a benefit to university employees.

Work Stride is designed to help you and your loved ones with the many aspects of cancer: diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and caregiving—and prevention, too. Work Stride provides cancer navigation, emotional encouragement, access to trusted information, work-life support, and holistic coaching.

In addition to providing one-on-one assistance, Work Stride oncology nurse navigator Rose Wolfe hosts two monthly support groups:

  • Employee support group meets from noon to 1 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month
  • Caregiver support group meets from noon to 1 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month

For more information and to get the link to register, contact Wolfe by phone at 844-446-6229 or email at managecancer@jh.edu.

The Work Stride website includes a content library whose resources include articles, videos, and testimonials.
