JHU Central Human Resources recently hosted its first-ever career fairs specifically for union staff, held on March 20 at the Bloomberg School of Public Health in East Baltimore and on March 21 in the Glass Pavilion on the Homewood campus. More than 100 staff members took part in the first event and close to 70 in the second.

Attendees learned about career development opportunities, employee tuition and GED assistance, apprentice programs, and membership opportunities, and they also participated in raffle drawings to win premium giveaways and branded swag.

JHU partners contributing to the fair were the Black Faculty and Staff Association, HopkinsLocal, Learning Solutions, and the Office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion. Community partners that contributed were Community College of Baltimore City, EdAssist, GEDWorks, Morgan State University, Live Baltimore, and Project Jump Start.
