Thinking about buying a home in Baltimore City? Live Baltimore is hosting a Winter 2024 Trolley Tour, a free event open to all buyers at all stages of the home-buying process. It will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, 1400 W. Cold Spring Lane.

If you're interested in the home-buying process, the Trolley Tour is your chance to explore neighborhoods, sit in on expert-led workshops, and connect with counseling agencies, lenders, real estate agents, insurance companies, home inspectors, neighborhood associations, and community organizations. Click here to register.

Your attendance at the Trolley Tour qualifies you to apply for the $5,000 Buying Into Baltimore down payment and closing costs assistance incentive. Twenty homebuyers from a pool of eligible applications will be selected to receive the funds. Additional information and details can be found here.

Live Baltimore offers incentives that may be used in conjunction with the Live Near Your Work grant program through Johns Hopkins. To learn more about LNYW eligibility, grant amounts, boundaries, and the application process, visit the LNYW page of the HR website. Call 410-516-2000 or email worklife@jhu.edu with any questions.

Since LNYW's inception in 2008, 1,516 employees from the university and health system have received grants toward buying homes in Baltimore City, and Johns Hopkins has committed more than $10.5 million to the program.
