One quick and easy way to give to the Baltimore community is through the Vernon Rice Memorial Turkey Drive, the university's annual holiday program that helps families in need. A $45 donation will provide a basket containing a fresh turkey and vegetables from a local farm that will be delivered to participants by St. Anthony of Padua Church for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Last year 300 meals and personal care resources were provided to deserving and grateful families. The university would like to increase that number this year, so everyone is asked to give generously and share this announcement with others.
