JHU simplifies its COVID-19 vaccine policy

Policies on influenza vaccines and smoking/vaping continue as initiated in 2020

In an email sent May 9, JHU announced that with the advice of the Health Advisory Group and other public health experts across its campuses, and given the impending expiration of the federal COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Declaration, the university is simplifying its COVID-19 vaccine policy.

It also reiterated that JHU will continue with several policies that began in 2020, including prohibiting smoking/vaping across university campuses and properties and requiring students and employees to receive an annual influenza vaccine or an approved medical or religious exemption.
