Did you know that May is Better Hearing and Speech Month? Hearing loss is the third most common health problem in the U.S.; about 48 million Americans have some degree of hearing loss. Hearing loss can come on so gradually you may not even notice it. In fact, most people with hearing loss wait an average of seven years before seeking help. The good news is most hearing loss can be easily treated with hearing aids.

Coverage and discounts for hearing aids are available to faculty, staff, and LIUNA bargaining unit members through the university's current benefits offerings.
