The Office of Benefits & Worklife hosts several recurring virtual networking groups that provide an opportunity for employees to connect with Hopkins peers who may be going through similar life experiences. These support groups include Adult Caregiving, Caregiving for Children With Disabilities, and Retirement Readiness.

Adult Caregiving Networking Group

Caregivers for adults might struggle with financial, emotional, and physical challenges as they navigate needs of an elderly loved one while managing other life priorities. For those wanting a forum to connect with other Hopkins employees about adult caregiving issues, the networking group will be meeting from noon to 1 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month through June; after a summer break, the meetings will resume in September. The upcoming sessions are April 19, May 17, and June 21.

Caregiving for Children With Disabilities Networking Group

If you care for a child with disabilities, finding support and integrating your own personal care and everyday needs into your routine can be challenging. This group is an opportunity to connect with Hopkins peers who may be facing similar challenges. Meetings are scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month through June; after a summer break, they will resume in September. Upcoming dates are May 2 and June 6.

Retirement Readiness Networking Group

For those whose career is a large part of their identity, the journey to retirement can bring up a lot of emotions. Are you feeling anxiety, dread, or even excitement as you approach your retirement? Why not join others in the same pre-retirement stage for a conversation about getting ready for your post-work life?

The monthly Retirement Readiness networking meeting will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on the second Friday of the month through June, when there will be a summer break. Upcoming dates are May 12 and June 9.
