March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Make sure you know symptoms that should be checked, as well as tips to lower the risk of developing the disease

It's no coincidence that March's National Nutrition Month and Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month are recognized simultaneously: What you eat has a direct impact on your colorectal health.

The most common symptom of colorectal cancer is no symptom at all, which is why screening is so important, but Work Stride: Managing Cancer provides a list of symptoms that should be checked, as well as tips to lower the risk of developing colorectal cancer. For more information, contact your Work Stride oncology nurse navigator at 844-446-6229 or managecancer@jh.edu.
