Are you involved with a local nonprofit? You may be able to help it get additional funding.
The Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund application period will end at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 16. Don't delay, apply today.
The Neighborhood Fund was created in 2007 to support nonprofit organizations that serve the communities near Hopkins campuses and are associated with Johns Hopkins through employee or institutional involvement.
Donations, made through the university's annual United Way campaign, support organizations addressing needs in the areas of community revitalization, education, employment, health, and public safety. Since the fund's inception, $3 million has been awarded to neighborhood groups.
More funding is needed
This year's campaign is still $80K away from its goal of $550K. Your donation will go directly to support the Johns Hopkins grants that award up to $15K to nonprofits that surround Johns Hopkins. To donate, send a check made out to the Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund to Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund, 1101 E. 33rd St., Suite D300, Baltimore, MD 21218.
