The Fall Pre-Retirement Program offers new resources to help you prepare for your post-work years

13 virtual sessions will be held over 10 days—register now for as many as you'd like

The Fall Pre-Retirement Program, being held virtually from Monday, Sept. 12, to Friday, Sept. 23, will cover new financial-planning topics along with the standard subjects of Social Security and using a health savings account in retirement planning.

Register to learn about:

  • Determining your goals, needs, and investment style
  • Diversifying your income in retirement
  • Spending wisely in retirement
  • Deciding if you are on track or need to adjust your investment choices
  • Getting started with estate planning

The program also will provide webinars covering the popular topics of Medicare, legal planning, JHU retiree benefits, and nonfinancial aspects of retirement planning. Visit the Benefits & Worklife webpage for registration information.

The Office of Benefits & Worklife will continue to offer Retirement Readiness, a series of facilitated peer networking groups for those wanting to talk about the psychological and emotional aspects of retirement, such as how you will spend your time, how retirement will impact your relationships, and how you can find your purpose. You can exchange thoughts, concerns, and resources about the retirement journey to better prepare for a successful transition. You may even make social connections for after you retire. Register in advance for the session on Friday, Sept. 16, as space is limited. This session will not be recorded.
