Diversity and Inclusion: 21st-Century Higher Education is a half-day course that will identify some of the common and distinctive issues that impact diversity and inclusion experiences in colleges and universities.

Participants will be introduced to the Three-dimensional Model of Higher Education Diversity, which summarizes and informs participants of key social identities in higher education, core areas of examination and focal groups, and how these three areas combine to shape diversity and inclusion across higher education.

There will also be discussion around key individual factors that shape identity and life experiences, such as race, ethnicity, sexuality, age, socioeconomic status, and unconscious bias. Participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences.

Register here for the workshop, which will be offered virtually by Learning Solutions from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Aug. 25.
