Financial education webinar: Saving for College

Learn about 529 plans and other ways to save and pay for higher education

If you look at the cost of college today and wonder how you will pay for it, you are not alone.

An upcoming Saving for College webinar is intended for those who want to learn more about 529 college savings plans and other ways to both save and pay for higher education. Highlights include how much you may need for college expenses, the pros and cons of different available savings options, and items you should consider such as state tax benefits, potential costs, investment options, and federal financial aid.

The one-hour financial education webinar is being offered by Vanguard at 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m. on Friday, April 9; and at 2 p.m., 5 p.m., and 8 p.m. on Monday, April 12. You do not need to be a Vanguard participant to attend.

The session does not include content on the university's Tuition Grant Plan for eligible faculty, staff, and bargaining unit members; information about the plan is available on the Benefits & Worklife website.
