Each year, Johns Hopkins partners with local nonprofit and service agencies to connect its employees with families and senior citizens in need during the holiday season. You or your department can help brighten the holidays by "adopting" a family or senior.

In an effort to make the Adopt-a-Family/Senior program as contactless and safe as possible during the pandemic, Hopkins employees will be purchasing gift cards rather than merchandise for their family or senior this year.

Donors will select the family or senior with whom they want to be matched via an online platform that will open on Friday, Oct. 23.

Program partners are:

  • The Family Recovery Program
  • Franklin Center
  • FLT Preparatory Academy
  • Springboard Community Services
  • Project PLASE
  • Harvey Johnson Towers

You will have the option of purchasing e-gift cards online or physical gift cards that you can drop off at Johns Hopkins at Eastern. The deadline for both is Thursday, Dec. 10.

Further details, including drop-off times, will be available when you choose your family/senior.

Questions can be directed to adoptafamily@jhu.edu.
