EyeMed members have multiple online options for ordering prescription eyewear and contact lenses using their benefits. This may be an ideal way to address your needs while practicing social distancing and mitigating outdoor risk.
Online sites do require a valid prescription, generally written within 12 months. In-network options include Glasses.com, ContactsDirect, Ray-Ban.com, LensCrafters.com, and TargetOptical.com.
Under the current circumstances, many providers are offering free, expedited shipping and no-cost returns. In addition, members can save an additional $20 off their next order of contact lenses by creating an account at ContactsDirect.com. Check with online providers to verify offers.
For members who may not have a prescription and are sick and unable to leave home, EyeMed recently enacted its Disaster Recovery Program. Through this initiative, members may be eligible to receive an emergency pair of temporary Adlens adjustable glasses (subject to availability), which can switch focus for reading, computer, and distance. Call EyeMed's Customer Care Center to see if you meet the criteria.
A detailed COVID-19 Member Benefits FAQ is available on the EyeMed website. Questions can be directed to the Customer Care Center for JHU at 866-800-5457 or to the company's general Customer Care Center at 866-933-3633.
