JHU faculty, staff and bargaining unit members are invited to join Benefits Service Center consultants Barbara Fowler and Michael McCormick for a Zoom webinar addressing the nonfinancial considerations in retirement planning and an overview of JHU retiree benefits.

The live webinar will be offered twice: on Saturday, April 25, and Thursday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. You may join from any computer, tablet, or mobile phone with internet connectivity.

The agenda for each session is as follows:

  • 10–10:10 a.m. Sign into Zoom and technology check.
  • 10:10–11:10 a.m. Retire Right. This presentation covers the many nonfinancial considerations to consider in retirement planning such as the social aspects of retirement, where you'll live, what you'd like to do with your time, and how you'll remain intellectually engaged. Q&A to follow.
  • 11:10–11:15 a.m. Break.
  • 11:15 a.m.–12:30 p.m. JHU Benefits in Retirement. This presentation covers the university benefits to which retirees are entitled, including medical and dental coverage, life insurance, tuition benefits, pension and/or 403b plan, vacation/sick time, and more. Q&A to follow.
