In late February, the university will be mailing a tax form called the 1095-C to faculty and staff, who may need this form when filing taxes for 2019. The form documents eligibility and/or enrollment in the JHU medical plans for 2019. This same information will be reported to the IRS as well.
The form is not required to be attached to the form 1040. It is one of many documents that can be given to tax preparers, if needed, to prove that you, or a member of your family, had health care coverage in 2019.
