Workshop: Fundamentals of Graphic Design for Non-Designers

This hands-on two-day class introduces participants to layout, typography, production, and more

Fundamentals of Graphic Design for Non-Designers is a hands-on, two-day class to introduce participants to design principles such as white space, trapped space, grouping, getting attention, and structuring a layout.

You'll learn the differences between digital photos and illustration graphics as well as the pros and cons of using each type in your work. Color theory, typography, and "best ways" production techniques will be introduced. During class, you will use physical printout tools and electronic data files manipulated in Adobe's premiere layout program, InDesign.

Register online for the class, which will be offered by Learning Solutions on Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 27 and 28, at 2024 E. Monument St.
