Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Johns Hopkins community, over the past five years more than 3,100 students have each received two new uniforms through our Adopt-a-Student Uniform Drive.

Starting the school year with new uniforms helps students build confidence and allows them to better focus on classwork. And Baltimore City Public Schools reports that access to uniforms is linked to improved attendance rates.

The Johns Hopkins Adopt-a-Student Uniform Drive was established in 2011 to assist families in purchasing the required uniforms. In partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools, Johns Hopkins works with a uniform vendor to establish a cost of $40 for two uniforms.

Your donation of $40 can provide two uniforms for an elementary, middle, or high school student, who will be able to start the school year prepared.

You can adopt one or more students by going to our Adopt-a-Student registration. The deadline to sponsor a student is Aug. 23. To select a donation amount, click "register now." If you have a question or need technical assistance, call the Benefits Service Center at 410-516-2000.
