Blood drive set for April 29 at Homewood

Only volunteer donors can provide lifesaving blood for patients

The need for blood is constant, and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every two to three seconds, and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.

To help save lives, Johns Hopkins and the American Red Cross are hosting a blood drive for faculty, staff, and students from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, April 29, in Homewood's Glass Pavilion.

To schedule an appointment, download the Red Cross Blood Donor App on the App Store or Google Play, or text BLOODAPP to 90999.
