Many diseases are preventable through the use of vaccinations. To help you stay healthy, you can now receive vaccines conveniently administered at your local retail pharmacy through Express Scripts' prescription-drug benefit. Appointments are typically not required, and the vaccines are the same effective medications that would be given in your physician's office.

The following vaccines can be administered by pharmacists at participating network pharmacies:

  • Flu (seasonal influenza)
  • Tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis
  • Hepatitis
  • HPV (human papillomavirus)
  • Meningitis
  • Pneumonia
  • Shingles (herpes zoster)
  • Childhood vaccines (MMR, etc.)
  • Travel vaccines (rabies, typhoid, yellow fever, etc.)

Contact your network pharmacy in advance to inquire about vaccine availability, age restrictions, and current vaccination schedules.

Present your Express Scripts membership card to the pharmacist at the time of service, and, in most cases, you will not be charged for preventive immunizations.

To locate a participating pharmacy, log in at express-scripts.com and click Prescriptions and then Find a Pharmacy, or call the number on your Express Scripts ID card.
