Johns Hopkins faculty, staff, students, and their family members will participate in volunteer opportunities to support communities in the Baltimore, Howard County, Washington, D.C., and St. Petersburg, Florida, areas on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019.

University employees may use service leave provided by Johns Hopkins Takes Time for Baltimore.

The volunteer opportunities vary in length of time needed, so you are encouraged to block the morning, afternoon, or all day until you register for a specific activity.

Registration will open on Friday, Jan. 4. If you want to learn details earlier, share your email address on the MLK Jr. Day of Service webpage.

This is Johns Hopkins' second MLK Jr. Day of Service. The inaugural event, held in January 2018, sent more than 400 employees to nonprofit organizations in three designated communities.

The volunteer effort is organized by the Johns Hopkins Office of Work, Life and Engagement and the Johns Hopkins Medicine Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
