Speaking for Success: Improving American English Pronunciation is a workshop structured for individuals who wish to listen, improve, and practice their American English speech in order to become more understandable to listeners.

Nonnative speakers of American English often know all the grammar to create meaningful sentences but are unfamiliar with the differences in pronunciation, use of articles, or gender identification. Lack of speech precision or mispronunciation may lead to errors, misunderstandings, and general communication breakdown, both socially and on the job.

This is a three-day class, and participants must attend each day of training.

Register online for this course, which will be offered on Aug. 20, 21, and 28 by Learning and Development.

Anyone with questions can contact Learning and Development at learning@jhu.edu.
