Here's how to dispose of unused prescription drugs

Saturday, April 28, is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, which was created to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means for disposing of prescription drugs.

To drop off unused prescriptions between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., interested individuals can locate a collection site by searching a database with a ZIP code or city and state.

The event is coordinated by the Diversion Control Division of the U.S. Department of Justice's Drug Enforcement Administration.

Johns Hopkins employees concerned about prescription drug use for themselves, a co-worker, or a family member may contact the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program at 443-997-7000.
