A new benefits plan year may mean new insurance cards. To see whether you should receive new membership cards, check the list below.
EHP Classic: New cards will be sent to all EHP participants this year.
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (Medical), Kaiser Permanente, BlueChoice: Cards will be sent only to new participants and existing members who made changes.
Express Scripts Prescription: Express Scripts cards will be sent to new participants only. All others can continue to use their current card.
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Dental: Cards will be sent only to new participants and existing members who made changes. If enrolled in both BCBS medical and dental, you should have a separate card for each.
Cigna Dental: Membership cards are not issued. The JHU plan ID number is 3215300.
United Concordia Dental: Cards will be sent only to new participants and existing members who made changes. Members can have their ID card on their smartphone as well by adding the app "unitedconcordiadental."
WageWorks Health Care FSA Reimbursement Card: Cards will be sent to new participants and to existing members whose cards have expired (generally a three-year cycle). The expiration date is noted on all cards.
United HealthCare (Voluntary Vision Plan): Cards will be sent to new participants only. Current participants who made changes can continue to use their existing card. Membership cards also will be accessible on the United Healthcare website at www.myuhcvision.com as of Jan. 1, 2018. Click here for a step-by-step guide to printing your vision ID card.
Insurance cards are mailed to members from the provider. Contact the provider directly to check on the status of your cards or to request additional cards. Phone numbers for all benefit plan vendors are available on the JHU Benefits website.
