Workshop: Recognizing and Responding to Depression in the Workplace

Feeling sad or blue because of relationship challenges, loss, or a big change at work is a normal part of the human experience. But sometimes those "blues" can cross the line into clinical depression, and it is important to be able to distinguish between the two. Depression has an impact on multiple areas of one's life and lasts longer than a typical "funk."

Join Frances Callahan, assistant director of Johns Hopkins' Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, to learn about depression types, symptoms, and treatment options.

This session will include tips for managers/supervisors and resource and referral services.

The workshop is scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, on the East Baltimore campus. Register online or call 443-997-7000.
