There's no better time to be more involved in Baltimore. The Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund, which is supported by university employees through United Way pledge designations, provides grants that assist local nonprofits' efforts to build stronger neighborhoods by addressing needs in the areas of community revitalization, education, employment, health, and public safety.
Since its creation in 2007, the JHNF has provided close to $2 million in funding to 175 nonprofits located near Johns Hopkins campuses.
A video brings new energy, excitement, and awareness to the program. If you take a moment to watch the video, it's easy to see that the Neighborhood Fund is a meaningful way to support our neighbors.
If you work with a local nonprofit that needs additional funding, visit the Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund page of the Office of Work, Life and Engagement website to learn about the application process.
If you have any questions, contact Greg Burks atgburks5@jhu.edu.
The university's United Way campaign kicks off Oct. 19.
